thanks for visiting my blog! ∠( ᐛ 」∠)_

here you might find ramblings about my site, sites as a whole, my life, life as a whole, media i have thoughts on or just my unsophisticated thoughts (and dreams!) all cluttered onto a webpage with vague theming attached

i may talk about more serious topics here and there but my site will never be used for venting or traumadumping, and any sensitive content will be marked clearly at the top of the page.

23/11/2024 Hey netizens!! I'm super excited to announce that MILLENNIUM FUTURISM is officially (according to nobody but myself) 1.0!!

Okay, maybe it doesn't sound like much for something to be version 1.0, but after more than 9 months and 4,000 updates, this site has grown exponentially from just a way for me to kill time into a huge passion of mine. I'm genuinely so enthralled that it has reached a state that I could only dream of it reaching back when I began, and more than anything else, I am so, so happy to have my own corner of this community on the web.

the new one i made last week :D

I've never felt so much a part of something as I do with Neocities, never been able to express myself so freely, never felt so appreciated for my self-expression and have never before connected with so many kind and likeminded people. Seriously, it was kind of mind-exploding coming on here for the first time and finding so many of your sites, full of references to the things I love, filled with thought provoking and vulnerable blog entries, overflowing with incredible art and more than anything else just pure, heartfelt decency. The welcome I received is really what spurred me on to dedicate myself to this, and for that I'll always do my best to be a positive influence on the community.

Speaking of the community, I wanted to add a small thank you for the 200 followers on here. I really only develop my site for my own happiness, and I've long since become disillusioned with the idea of likes and follows, but the fact that 200 people were actually interested in my site enough to click that button is still encouraging (and a little unbelievable). I hope I'm able to use this privilege to spotlight smaller webmasters and remind people that although nice-looking sites are cool and all, what really binds us together are the webmasters behind these sites and our mutual respect for each other. If you're going to criticize, always make sure what you’re saying is constructive, and don't let those who spread hate or spam get you down. Spend some time exploring sites you wouldn't usually, read someone's diary, appreciate someone's photo gallery and leave a nice comment whenever you can. We're all just people behind the screen and that's the real soul of the internet.

Anyway, although I'm declaring this my first "finished" version of MILLENNIUM FUTURISM, that doesn't mean it's done, not by a long shot!! I have a million gazillion plans for this site, infinite details to add and huge plans for the future (including maybe a little event I'm thinking about holding for my one year anniversary..?). Hell, I haven't even finished my sozai pages yet, which are probably next on the list of things for me to do. I'll also be regularly uploading the art I make, which is something I usually do at least once a month, so you can expect some kind of consistent activity on here from now on. I appreciate the interest of every last one of you, especially those who consistently interact with my status updates and leave messages in my guestbook (you know who you are).

Thank you for reading my little ramble and thank you for your continuing support! To the bright future of the personal web!!
